The three-day 86th All India Peethasin Adhikari Conference (AIPOC) held at Uttar Pradesh Legislative Bhavan was successfully concluded today.
The spirit of democracy remains empowered only when the House is driven by a sense of dialogue, dignity and fairness. MLA should further strengthen the faith within the public that their voice will reach this far and the path of solution will also come out of this platform.
Today technology, digital records, paperless process and AI have made our legislators more transparent and effective. Capacity-enhancement of legislators, empowerment of committees, multilingual facility and public participation are the main requirements of the modern legislator.
The 86th AIPOC resolved to have a minimum of 30 meetings a year in the state legislators, to maximize public’s aspirations and expectations through the House.
Along with the goal of ‘Developed India 2047’, the pledge was also taken to increase the capacity of modern, tech-enable MLA, public representatives and create a National Legislative Index, which promote accountability and healthy competition among various legislators.
I am pretty sure that meaningful chanting at this three-day conference will pave new path towards making our legislature more modern, responsive and public-centered.
